Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
When I had a baby at my side and other children in the cradle, I worked 12 hours a day sanding flooring and tearing off wallpaper. Ha! All was starting to come together but there was still a long way to go. The project would require money, effort, and of course my favourite shopping experience to furnish this house. For my budget to remain sound, I travelled with my 3 boys looking for deals at estate sales. It was our weekly routine of walking around auctions and garage sales on the weekend and purchase a range of old pieces and new constructed. My work days were spent at the end of the driveway, working on painting or sanding. My love for furniture repair began when I saw a style similar to this. Once our home was furnished, I still couldn't stop! There was an area in the market in which I sold my items. I was able to outgrow my space because I owned many more pieces than I could use. Then I began hosting open houses in my home which saw over 1 000 guests would come through in one weekend, and purchase anything they wanted in the first floor. It was here that my business Growing Days was born. My company was flourishing and my family was also expanding. I was balancing the demands of having starting a new venture as well as a mother too. Growing Days seemed like the ideal combination. In 2013, my lovely daughter Nora joined our 4th kiddo. The direction of my business was excellent, however I needed to rest for a while. I opted to take a little time off from my vintage furniture and slow down to remain at home with the children. It was exactly what I was looking for at the time. In the course of a few months, the phone began to start to. The people who called me were seeking help for the interior decoration and remodeling. Most of these people were people who had been through my home during the furniture open houses! It wasn't long before I managed a large-scale business for home improvement. It began with taking clients on one in a manner that I felt comfortable with. If you had told me that this business of mine could become the basis of a television show on DIY Network I probably would have been astonished. Actually I still kind of amused when I think of the idea.
