April Lockhart

April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She started the guitar and piano lessons in seventh grade. This sparked her interest. When April was 12 She composed her debut single, Different. She spent a lot of time at 14 making songs and practicing the piano. In the following months, she began taking writing excursions along with her father in LA and NY. April began including other topics in her book Take My Hand to help her friends who were dealing with peer pressure, disabilities or suicide. Lockhart is a beauty and lifestyle influencer with an ever-growing number of followers. She collaborates with the renowned brand Ilia with whom she has a partnership as well as being a lifestyle expert. It's true that she was born with no left hand and that creates her unique. It's not the only aspect that makes her unique. So, Lockhart's Instagram profile isn't afraid to talk about her disability, but the focus isn't on her disability neither. It's a reminder. There is more to us than our physical selves. Our identities are complicated and encompass a variety of dimensions. Lockhart through a video messages from his Nashville home, says that I do not want that to be a part of me. I'm much far more than just my physical self. And it doesn't affect my day-to-day life I do things normally, and I've discovered my own method of adjusting the things. The same is true for me, and I believe it should be discussed. Self-acceptance can be a marathon for a lifetime but Lockhart is a true inspiration for this aspect. Lockhart admits to having been through a series of phases in her body, and felt uneasy in some instances to wear clothing that displayed the arms of her. Now, though she dons anything she likes and uploads images of her outfits to social media with pride. Self-love for her was an extended trip. The same is true for everybody regardless of level of insecurity. People you associate yourself with, who know your personal story and who can look into your heart are the best people to help you remember what you're worried about.
